What accessories should I get to go with the Nintendo Wii I'm giving as a gift?

I'm buying my partner a Nintendo Wii for Christmas but there's so many accessories available to go with it that I'm not sure which I need and which are optional. Eg, do I need 2 remotes and 2 nunchucks? Do I need the remote chargers? Do I need the sports pack (golf club, tennis racket etc)

I'm very confused so any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!

You should really get the starter bundle that walmart has on sale for 50.00 off. It has everything that is needed for 2 players to play.
